About Renee

My approach to therapy is person-centered, compassion-focused, and strengths-based. I am also trained in EMDR, an evidence-based therapy that is highly effective in helping individuals process trauma and difficult life experiences. My ideal clients are those that find themselves carrying a great deal for everyone around them while quietly feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves; losing a part of who they once were. I have a special heart for supporting clients in the many different difficult seasons, particularly those who feel stretched thin by the demands life brings.

 

I am passionate about working with couples who want to strengthen their relationship and improve communication. Many couples come to counseling feeling stuck in the same frustrating conversations, longing to feel heard, understood, and close again. I strive to help couples better understand one another, rebuild connection, and develop healthier ways of relating.

 

I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can slow down, feel deeply understood, and rediscover their own strength and clarity. I believe that meaningful change begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and valued. In addition to offering emotional support, I enjoy helping clients develop practical tools they can use to navigate difficult seasons with greater confidence and resilience.  While I welcome clients from all backgrounds, my worldview is shaped by a Christian perspective and I am happy to integrate faith into counseling when clients desire.

 

Outside the office, I enjoy working out, cooking, spending time with my husband of 39 years, playing with my grandchildren, and enjoying life with our fur baby. I consider it a privilege to come alongside clients as they work through life’s challenges and discover renewed strength, clarity, and hope.
